The Sidebar is a transparent pane on the side of the Windows Vista desktop that allows a user to organise and display Gadgets.

The Arsenal.com Gadget feeds all the latest news and information directly from the Club's official website straight to your desktop.

Arsenal fans can find out about the latest transfers, injury news, match information and even watch video footage. You can also personalise the Gadget in home or away colours and filter the news you receive.

Please note: You will need Microsoft Windows Vista to run the Arsenal Gadget. We are investigating a possible solution for the Macintosh OS. Please keep checking Arsenal.com for news on any developments.

How do I download & install the Arsenal.com Gadget?

1. Click here to download the Arsenal.com Vista Gadget
2. On the "File Download" dialogue box, select OPEN or SAVE
3. On the "Internet Explorer Security" dialogue box, select ALLOW
4. On the "Do you want to install this Gadget" dialogue box, select "INSTALL"

The gadget should install and after a brief delay, populate with content.

Potters make slow progress

Stoke City's director of football John Rudge has called for calm as his side continue their pursuit of new players for the challenge of a return to the Premier League.

The Potters have yet to make any signings so far this summer, but Rudge is not too worried, with a lot of work going on behind the scenes at the Britannia Stadium.

He told The Sentinel: "We know we've got to bridge the gap between the Championship and the Premier League, as all three promoted teams have to every year.

"We've completed the list of players we're interested in signing and manager Tony Pulis will observe and detail his main targets.

"You will see clubs asking for a top figure at the moment and if you speak to agents you will find them asking for top wages as well.

"Agents are ringing me all the time because they think we have much more money to spend now we're in the Premier League.

"Like all summers, it will be a bit further down the line before clubs start making decisions on who they want to sign and players on who they want to sign for. More..

1827: Are Italy desperate? You betcha they are. Former Azzurri coach Arrigo Sacchi has written an open letter to Marco van Basten, essentially begging him to mastermind a Dutch win over Romania. - If France and Italy share a score draw (1-1, 2-2, 3-3 etc), Italy will go through if Romania lose (by any score). In this scenario, Italy, Romania and France will be level on two points each but Italy would have scored more goals in games between the 3 teams.
